Use a Office 365 sign in for your work or school account at the secure portal of Login.MicrosoftOnline.com to access personal email and Outlook mail.
Microsoft uses more than one type of 365 service, with each one having a different login that depends on the email type or docs you are using.
Go direct to https://login.microsoftonline.com/ and find two fields that will require your Office 365 sign in credentials to be entered. A email address field and a password field.
Enter your email address as your username followed by the password you set when you registered for your account. The box to be kept signed in is optional and only suggested when using a home connection or in your office.
Once you have completed the fields, choose the sign in button and you will be authenticated online unless something is wrong with your email address or password. When this happens, go to https://login.microsoftonline.com/resetpw.srf and follow the directions carefully to reset your password.
Phone support from Microsoft on problems with your Office 365 sign in are limited. Using the web service to reset your credentials is the fastest way to gain access to an account. The phone number is 1-800-642-7676 to walk through the menu tree and contact support. Email from Outlook for personal and student accounts are the most common types of support requests.
These kind of sign in requests are often resolved when problems occur by contacting your work or university direct. Some control for resetting Office 365 information is handled by the sponsoring organization that provides mail to students or employees. Try your local IT department first before calling Microsoft Online Services.
An illustration of the official Office 365 sign in page is presented in this tutorial to compare. When using other Microsoft Online Services with 365, try setting up a single use code when you renew your home or personal subscription.
Auto renew is found under your account settings when you login and will keep your sign in from expiring. More information is found in our resources section about this process.
Third party access to Office email is used by GoDaddy and schools. You would not use the portal at Login.MicrosoftOnline.com for those type of accounts. Instead visit your third party service provider direct to sign in.
