There are two ways to login to Gmail online. Direct and through your Google account. To use your Gmail login directly visit https://www.gmail.com/intl/en/mail/help/about.html and select the sign in area. When you do this you will be routed to the second way of signing in at Accounts.Google.com instead.
Both of these methods work to login. If you check your email directly in your web browser you can enter Mail.Google.com in to your url box and pull the Gmail login up directly. One account will give you access to all services at Google that require a sign in to use, including Google Mail.
When you arrive at the login page you will notice the service listed before the email and password box that states what service of Google that you will be using. To proceed in your secure connection and view your email messages, enter your email address and password and select the sign in button to authenticate.
If your username and password is correct you will be allowed to proceed in your account. There is a username and password recovery tool if you find that you have forgotten your Gmail login information. The recovery tool is located at https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery and it will ask you if you are having trouble signing in to Mail.Google.com online.
