The 10.0.0.1 login page is found on Comcast supported routers and modems issued by the Internet Service Provider to customers and is also default on more.
XFINITY uses the IP address to route and configure administration of connecting local home or business networks to broadband.
Enter the http://10.0.0.1 wireless gateway in your web browser and follow it with your log in information for your device when prompted.
The default 10.0.0.1 login is admin as the username and password as the password, both are lower case and contain no spaces.
Customers are to use the secure SSID and network key in the user interface on their router or modem during first time setup. This occurs on Comcast supported or issued hardware when you enroll.
If you forget your username or password to your router and can no longer access it, try restoring to default factory settings by pressing and holding the reset button on the back of your router or modem.
This method will reset your hardware and you can use the password and username listed above to login on your Comcast device.
Other hardware brands that use the 10.0.0.1 login are Netgear WNR1000, WNR3500, WGR614v8, and CG814v series, Linksys WRT310N, WCG200V, and BEFCMUH4 routers.
Please note that any wireless router can be configured with a 10.0.0.1 IP address and this list is not exclusive to Comcast, Netgear, or Linksys default configurations.
The manual included with your hardware will includes install information and the factory settings that were used at the time of shipping to the store. When your router has problems passing the broadband connection to your home network a firmware upgrade should be performed.
Upgrade the firmware by using the 10.0.0.1 login page to access the software tab in the router admin and then choose update to complete installation after downloading the latest version. See resources below for patches.
